Con este modelo, Gabriel Pozzo obtiene el campeonato mundial de vehículos de producción en el año 2001.
Al momento, es el último campeonato mundial en rally conseguido por un piloto argentino. Pechito López consiguió el Mundial WTCC en el año 2014 / 2015 / 2016 y WEC 2020 y 2021.
